Hi there! I’m Tereza.
I am a Licensed Psychological Associate at Sharp Wellness. I think of myself as solution-oriented, and I feel privileged to be able to support and witness clients grow and overcome the challenges they face in their day-to-day lives. I work with individuals and families, and I have a special interest in working with couples as they work through and navigate relationship challenges and transitional periods and work towards creating stronger bonds. My educational and professional background has afforded me the experience of supporting clients with various concerns, such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief & loss, and relationship issues–to name a few.

Your wellness and healing are important to me. I strive to provide a safe environment for you to express yourself and feel supported while fostering change and growth. My approach to providing therapy is collaborative and integrative, meaning I pull from various modalities to provide a customized therapy approach that fits you. My foundation is strength-based, person-centered, and solution-focused; I am also a Level 1 Gottman Counselor. In using these methods, I am able to address your needs and work alongside you toward change, overcoming obstacles, and understanding and addressing underlying emotions. I believe that each person possesses the strength within them to make the positive changes they hope for, and my job is to empower them on their journey to do so.

  • Watering Your Garden

To see your plants grow, you must water your garden. I have always believed that, much like watering a garden, healthy relationships require the same “T.L.C.” In my work as a psychological associate, it has been a privilege to pour into some of the most intimate journeys of my clients’ relationships and marriages. I strive to help my clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their partner, and to identify the steps to heal, grow, reconnect and create a healthy, loving relationship. As we navigate these journeys together, I help my clients acquire the tools to help them pour into themselves, their partner and their relationship with compassion, love and patience as they work towards facing and overcoming their challenges together–not against each other.

  • Onion-Peeler

I like to think of therapy like “peeling an onion”. Oftentimes, our struggles can feel so big that we don’t know where to start and it can cause some discomfort as we take steps to address difficulties. Other times, we may think that we don’t know what to talk about in therapy. My approach is similar to peeling the layers of an onion. No matter where you would like to “start”, we will work towards peeling the onion together. Each layer represents a conflict or issue you may have personally or in your relationship, but together, we will take the time to delve into each layer and help find effective ways to cope as we work towards reaching your goals and making lasting, positive changes in your life.

  • Taking Off the Training Wheels

Change is not easy, but when it happens, we want it to last. I work with clients to take the positive change beyond their sessions and into their everyday lives. Our sessions will feel like riding a bike with training wheels as my goal is to create a safe and supported space where you can feel hopeful as you work to achieve your goals. Whatever the concern that brings clients to their session I work to help clients to gain greater insight and learn strategies and coping methods to assist in managing any distressing symptoms and more importantly building confidence to take these strategies and methods into daily life and feel empowered to take those training wheels off.

  • More About Me

I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially pool or beach days with my husband and 4 kids. I love traveling (road trips and long flights), exploring new exciting places and restaurants because there is just so much to see and experience in the world. I find joy in singing and dancing and spent many years choreographing and performing with my sisters in our dance group. When I am relaxing you can often find me listening to music, inspirational podcasts, or simply taking a nap.
