Specialties: Childhood Trauma, Play Therapy, Children, Adolescents, Teens, Young Adults, Building Self-Efficacy, Enhancing Self-Compassion
Hi and Welcome!
My name is Larkin, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Senior Therapist at Sharp Wellness. My goal is to create a space for clients to show up as their authentic self, to find ways to reconnect with their mind and body, and to create and find beauty in their world. I specialize in working with children, adolescents/teens, and young adults as they navigate the complexities of life. No matter what stage of life we or our children are in, feelings and thoughts play a large role in how we experience and interact with the world. When we add hardships, especially childhood or early life trauma, into the mix, the world can feel increasingly unsafe and confusing.
Larkin Lowry, MS, LMFT
In working with your child, I utilize play therapy techniques to help them tame their anger, face their worry, and soothe their internal and external dysregulation. Play creates space for children to build their communication skills as well as develop healthy outlets for the emotions they are experiencing. As a parent or caregiver, your role is also paramount to the development of your child and I strive to collaborate with you in order for you to feel better equipped as you guide your child through daily life.
As adolescents, teens, and young adults, life can become increasingly stressful and exhausting. With the overwhelming amount of input we receive on a daily basis and the constant changes in life, stepping into your true self can feel terrifying and near impossible at times. In our work together I hope to walk beside you in order to help build your self-compassion and remind you to be kind to yourself on this journey of life and accept who you are becoming.

The Brain and The Body
Our ability to process sensory input can be greatly impacted by external factors in our lives. When our brain-body connection is off kilter, often times we respond in ways that can negatively impact our ability to cope and interact with others. In order to reconnect with yourself, you have to be able to recognize and accept where you are in order to build a healthier foundation moving forward.

Come as you are
Life isn’t typically put together in a box with a beautiful bow on the top and I don’t expect you and/or your child to be either. We spend so much of our daily lives trying to fit in or receive approval from others rather than turning inwards and being a true friend to
ourselves. In our work together, I will strive to help you fall back in love with yourself again, to see your strength that has been slumbering. The world needs you to be real, not “right.” -
Your Corner & The Ripple Effect
As humans we are relational beings and everything, we involve ourselves in has a ripple effect. Trauma and negative life experiences can shine light on our biggest fears and can enhance turmoil between ourselves and others, eventually leading to
isolation. Throughout our time together, we will look not only at yourself but also at the world around you and the relationships that impact you. While we can’t change the world, you can create beauty in your corner and see the ripple effect as it enhances your connections with those around you.

More About Me
When I’m not working you can often find me with my family which consists of my husband, two rescue dogs, and my horse. I have always been a lover of all things outdoors so when the weather is nice the best place to look for me is on the porch or back yard with my nose in a book. When we can, my husband and I love to travel around the world and explore new places, foods, and cultures.
““Choose to believe in your own possibilities. Love who you are, who you’ve been, and who you are becoming. No one has seen tomorrow.”
